Hawaii - Waikiki

Leaving Melbourne (10:30pm) in miserable weather and arriving in Hawaii before we left (7:30am same day), we immediately felt the warmth of the Pacific summer. Planning ahead, we booked rooms in the Ohana West Hotel to include the night before so that we are able to check into our rooms as soon as we arrived . Definitely a good idea as we are soon settled into our accommodation of choice. For just under USD160 per room for five days, we had two kitchette rooms with balconies, but no view other than the opposite hotel building. On a scale of 0 (unacceptable) - 10 (couldn't imagine better), I would rate the accommodation 5, having double bed (not king or queen), free in-room internet and pool. It is an old hotel but the service is good and the location is in the middle of Waikiki just a short walk to the beach.
